About our virtual care solution

Through Lumino Health Virtual Care, plan members gain immediate, virtual access to qualified healthcare professionals. They can access it through an app, or online through a computer. They can do this at home, at work, or anywhere else in Canada.

When they request a visit, they’re triaged through an artificial intelligence-based system. The system then places the employee into a video chat with a nurse, nurse practitioner or doctor.

Virtual health professionals can diagnose any condition that doesn’t require a physical exam. This includes about 70% of primary care cases. They can also help plan members book a specialist appointment, including mental health practitioners, and schedule standard follow-up visits.

With Lumino Health Virtual Care plan members get:

  • Continuity of Care – The Dialogue Care Team assigned to your call will follow up on any test results and book follow up appointments if necessary.
  • Fully bilingual support – all of Dialogues services are available in English and French.
  • Health care navigation – The Dialogue Care team can assist them with finding specialists and help book appointments.
  • Pharmacy delivery services – Plan members can have prescriptions from the Dialogue Care Team sent to their home.

The important role of virtual care

Lumino Health Virtual Care doesn’t replace the key role played by a family doctor. But it can be a critical support in many situations. This includes when an employee:

  • Doesn’t have a family doctor, or can’t wait for an appointment with them
  • Lives in an area with limited or no access to certain types of health professionals
  • Has work or childcare duties that make an in-person visit difficult
  • Needs a follow-up visit that doesn’t need to be in-person

  • Communication toolkit, includes email templates, flyers and postcards. You can email or print these on-demand and use them as part of wellness campaigns or health and safety weeks.
