  • comparison of nearly 250 group benefits plan design attributes,
  • comparison by Client size,
  • claims cost comparison such as average amount paid by total covered or claiming members,
  • minor benefit category comparisons (e.g. chiropractor) not just at the major level (e.g. paramedical),
  • detailed industry comparison down to a SIC code tier 3 level (e.g. Tier 1 – Manufacturing, Tier 2 – Lumber, Wood Products and Tier 3 - Manufacturers of Kitchen Cabinets) versus just a tier 1 level (e.g. only Manufacturing),
  • geographic comparison against another province or territory.

How can you access Plan InSite

Plan InSite’s detailed benefits plan summary, claims utilization and plan design benchmarking capabilities for your current Sun Life Group Benefits Clients are now available at no charge for advisor firms that maintain a combined Sun Solutions and SunAdvantage Business-In-Force greater than $250,000. Plan InSite is made available to all advisors and associates you designate to receive access within your firm.

In addition to Plan InSite’s core capabilities, your firm has the option to upgrade Plan InSite’s with the My Custom Plan feature for an annual access fee of $1,000. This powerful feature allows you to build a customized plan for either an existing or prospective Client and then benchmark it to Sun Life’s Group Benefits block to determine if it’s competitive for that Client’s size, industry and location. There is no per-seat license fee and annual access is granted for 12 months upon activation of the My Custom Plan feature. To purchase this upgrade, your firm must maintain a combined Sun Solutions and SunAdvantage Business-In-Force greater than $250,000.
