A key part of the WHO campaign is encouraging organizations to share their positive stories related to mental health. The goal is to let people know about progress – and inspire them to take action. In the spirit of this campaign, we’ve created a new three-part video series.

New video – reducing stigma through inclusive language

Our first video focuses on the importance of inclusive language to create psychologically safe workplaces.

The use of such language helps people feel safe in speaking up and getting the help they may need. As the video explains, words matter – and the words by leadership are of primary importance. The video provides concrete tips for using inclusive language and reducing stigma.

The video is under 4 minutes in length. You can watch it here. Our Mental Health Strategy Toolkit also includes a reference guide on inclusive language. The video and reference guide can be used to train your people leaders and employees on how to talk about mental health in the workplace.

We remain committed to helping you make tangible positive change on mental health.

The actions you take today can lay the foundation for creating and maintaining a healthy and productive workplace. We’re here to guide and support you in this journey.
