Coming soon: Respiratory care with Lumino Health™ Pharmacy,¹ provided by Pillway²

Lumino Health™ Pharmacy, provided by Pillway, offers pharmacy services. Starting in May, it’ll also offer coaching for plan members and eligible dependents living with asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Lumino Health Pharmacy isn’t available in Quebec. Sun Life aims to make online access to pharmacy services available in Quebec later this year.

Coaching by a pharmacist will be available at no additional cost. This is the next phase in Sun Life’s commitment to provide chronic disease management solutions to plan members, eligible dependents, and Canadians.

About the respiratory care program

Respiratory diseases are on the rise, and the cost of drugs to treat these conditions can be expensive. Coaching with Lumino Health Pharmacy aims to help plan members follow their treatment and improve health outcomes.

To start a coaching session, plan members sign in to the Lumino Health Pharmacy mobile app or website. 

• Coaching will focus on health literacy and how to better self-manage asthma and COPD triggers.
• Follow-up sessions are also available if needed.

We'll launch this new coaching service to plan members in May (except for plan members residing in Quebec). We’ll send emails directly to targeted plan members who are actively claiming for asthma- and COPD-related medication(s). These emails will aim to raise awareness about the service and encourage them to use it. Standard exclusions will apply for plan member communications. 

When plan members sign in to the my Sun Life mobile app or mysunlife.ca, they’ll also get messages about the program.

About Lumino Health Pharmacy

Lumino Health Pharmacy was launched in July 2023, and is available for use. You don't need to change your plan or take any action.
