On November 1, 2021, there will be changes to how Sun Life’s third party segregated fund administrator hosts data.

With a few exceptions, the investment funds available on the Group Retirement Services Core Investment Platform are segregated funds. PAM for Investments (PAM) manages Sun Life’s segregated fund administration. PAM is a third-party accounting system managed by our vendor, State Street. Currently, Sun Life is responsible for on-site data hosting.

Effective November 1, 2021, State Street will be responsible for data hosting through a new service called ePAM.  The location of the databases and backups are in the U.S. The user experience between PAM and ePAM will be identical. There is no noticeable impact to you or your plan members.

Data transferred to PAM, and hosted by ePAM, does not contain confidential information on plan sponsors or employees. The data transferred to State Street (through PAM/ePAM) is at the segregated fund level only.

There is no action required by you or your employees.

If you have any questions, please contact your Group Retirement Services representative.
