Protecting plan member privacy is one of our top priorities. 

Given this, on August 20, we’ll be updating the Welcome Letter so that we’re not disclosing the SIN.

The updated Welcome Letter includes: 

  • Simpler language
  • Streamlined messaging
  • Removal of the SIN*
  • Removal of details related to Internet Access, Automated Telephone Access and Customer Care Access

* If the Account ID includes the SIN as the Member ID, the numbers would display

We continue to look at opportunities to reduce the use of SIN as member ID. We’ll share more information in a future update.
