Rami Thabet is Senior Vice-President, Chief Experience, Digital & AI Officer. In his role, Rami is responsible for overseeing Sun Life Canada’s digital and artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, Client experience design, marketing, and data analytics functions, leading a team dedicated to positioning Sun Life Canada at the forefront of Client experience and digital innovation in financial services.

Rami is a seasoned leader with over 25 years of professional experience in transformational management within the Financial Services, Healthcare, Consulting and Telecommunications sectors. Prior to joining Sun Life, Rami held roles at Royal Bank of Canada and BMO Financial Group. Rami is recognized as a trusted leader who inspires a culture of agility, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Rami has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics and Engineering from Harvard University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University, and a Doctorate in Digital and AI Transformation from the University of Southern California.
