Greg Dilworth

Greg Dilworth is Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Sun Life Canada, where he leads a team of more than 400 finance and actuarial professionals across Toronto, Waterloo, and Montréal. As CFO, Greg oversees financial strategy, planning, reporting, capital management, and forecasting for Sun Life Canada’s businesses, stewarding a balance sheet exceeding $100 billion and annual earnings of approximately $1.5 billion. He is also accountable for driving innovation across Canadian Finance, advancing digital and GenAI capabilities, and partnering closely with business leaders to support growth and strengthen Sun Life’s long-term strategic direction.

Since joining Sun Life in 2001, Greg has held a wide range of senior leadership roles, spanning corporate finance, business unit finance, and strategic transformation. He spent several years as Vice-President of Investor Relations, where he elevated Sun Life’s global investor outreach, helped the company win industry recognition for digital innovation, and supported major M&A activities across North America.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, Greg plays an active governance role across the organization and broader community. He currently serves on the boards of Dialogue Health Technologies, Sun Life Insurance (Canada) Limited, and the Board of Governors at Wilfrid Laurier University. His previous board and community involvement includes the Canadian Performance Reporting Board (CPA Canada) and the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.

Greg holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
