You Give We Give : Sun Life's Employee giving program
At Sun Life, one of the ways we bring our Purpose to life is by supporting the health and well-being of the communities where we live and work. Through You Give We Give – our Employee and advisor giving program – Employees can choose how to give back to the causes important to them.
Each year, our Employees and advisors volunteer thousands of hours or make personal financial contributions to their favourite charitable organizations, advancing our vision of building sustainable, healthier communities for life.
Financial donation
In support of Employee Giving, Sun Life’s program will match donations dollar-for-dollar to registered Canadian charities up to the individual employee maximum.
Volunteer time
Sun Life’s Volunteer program recognizes the efforts of Employees and advisors who volunteer for a registered Canadian charity of their choice. We will donate $20 for each hour they volunteer, directly to the charity they support.
Each year, Sun Life recognizes the extraordinary community involvement of our volunteer leaders through the Sun Life National Volunteer of the Year awards. The top five volunteers who track the most volunteer hours receive $1,000 to donate to a registered Canadian charity of their choice. The following one hundred volunteers receive $50 to donate.
Activity donation
Sun Life’s Activity Donation supports Employees and advisors who participate in physically active events to raise money for health-related charities across Canada. Sun Life will donate $20 for each registered charitable walk/ride/run event in which they participate.
