Jessica Brcko

Jessica Brcko is Assistant Vice-President, Strategy & Community Impact, Office of the President. Appointed in July 2024, Jessica provides strategic counsel to the President of Sun Life Canada, and the Canadian Executive Team.

In this role, Jessica plays a key role in enabling Sun Life Canada’s journey of innovation and transformation to deliver on our Purpose of helping Canadians achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.

Jessica is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of professional experience and a diverse track of success across government and Sun Life. She joined Sun Life in November 2020 as Director, Global Government Affairs and Public Policy, leading federal and provincial government advocacy for our Health and Group Benefits businesses. Jessica is dedicated to building inclusive corporate cultures. Most recently, she served as chair of Sun Life’s DiverseAbility Network, an Employee-led network creating greater inclusion for persons with disabilities in the workplace.

Prior to joining Sun Life, she spent 17 years in strategy and policy roles in four Ontario Government ministries and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

Jessica has a degree in political science and sociology from the University of Toronto. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, cooking and travelling.
