Sylvia Moretti, Vice-President, Human Resources
As Vice-President, Human Resources, Sun Life Financial Canada, Sylvia is responsible for overseeing the Canadian Human Resources operations including talent management, recruitment, compensation, employee relations and learning and development. An energetic and collaborative leader, Sylvia drives for innovative talent management strategies to generate positive business outcomes. She leads SLF Canada’s HR team to support transformational change while building strong partnerships and helping to grow employee engagement.
Sylvia has held several senior leadership positions in human resources spanning insurance, wealth management, and banking in Canada and the United States over the past 20 years. Prior to joining Sun Life, she held the role of Vice-President, Human Resources at Great West Life.
Sylvia holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Toronto and is a graduate of the Advanced Human Resources Executive Program at the University of Michigan. As well, she has earned the Canadian Securities Certificate (CSC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) accreditations. Sylvia values community activity and serves on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Children’s Book Centre, a not-for-profit organization supporting Canadian authors and illustrators and promoting their books to young readers.
