World Mental Health Day – Mental Health at work

October 03, 2024

World Mental Health Day is October 10, 2024. This year’s theme advocates for prioritizing mental health in the workplace. It strongly aligns with Group Benefits’ focus on championing your workplace well-being.

How we’re helping

Mental health continues to be a key factor in creating a supportive and productive workplace. It’s essential for both people leaders and employees to be well equipped to navigate these challenges. To help you, we offer free tools that make it easier to help train your people leaders and employees.

  • Training Videos: Our mental health training videos help by providing practical strategies and guidance for your people leaders. This will help them recognize mental health issues in the workplace and reduce stigma.
  • Strategy Toolkit: We also offer our Mental Health Strategy Toolkit. It outlines actionable steps to create a workplace that prioritizes mental well-being.

How you can enhance your plan

  • Mental Health Coach (MHC) – MHC, provided by CloudMD, is a proactive health solution that supports your employees and their families. Adding MHC to your plan will give you access to our extensive communication toolkit as well.
  • Virtual Care – Lumino Health Virtual Care, provided by Dialogue, offers your employees 24/7 access to professional health care. Support is available for a variety of concerns, including physical, medical, and mental health needs. Our services include:
    • Primary Care: Provides plan members and their eligible dependents with 24/7 access to a multitude of health-care professionals, including one session with a mental health specialist.
    • Stress Management and Well-Being: A valuable add-on to primary care. It offers mental health treatment, until remission, with no out-of-pocket costs.
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): EAP offers access to mental health practitioners for screening, short-term coaching, and referrals as needed. It also includes support for a broad range of work and life areas and offers coaching for people leaders.
