World Mental Health Day: Educational resources for your employees
Read time: 2 minutes
October 10 is World Mental Health Day. Mental health continues to be a key factor in creating a supportive and productive workplace. It’s essential for both people leaders and employees to be well equipped to navigate the challenges related to mental health in the workplace.
This year’s official theme is “Access to services- mental health in catastrophes and emergencies”. It strongly aligns with our new research report How climate and extreme weather are impacting workplace health in Canada: creating a climate-resilient workforce with group benefits. One of the most significant effects of catastrophic events, such as wild fires or flooding, is on human health. This includes mental health effects that may impact productivity at work. We’d like to remind you and your people leaders that there are many resources available to help address mental health issues in the workforce.
