Leadership Announcements – Group Retirement Services

We’re pleased to welcome the following leaders to Group Retirement Services (GRS) at Sun Life Canada.

Michael Van Alphen joins us as Senior Vice-President, effective March 23. With almost 25 years of experience at Sun Life, Michael has held several leadership roles and has extensive institutional knowledge of Sun Life and GRS. Michael will sit on the Canadian Executive Team and lead our GRS business with a clear focus on extending our market leadership in group retirement, while advancing a digital wealth platform that better supports Clients at every stage of their savings and retirement journey.

Joe De Dominicis also joins Sun Life as Vice-President, Market Development. Joe will lead the development and execution of product, marketing and investment strategies that set Sun Life apart in the industry. Joe joins us from TELUS Health, where he led a multidisciplinary team delivering retirement, savings, investment, and compensation solutions. Prior to TELUS Health, Joe served as Senior Vice President at People Corporation.

These key leadership changes will strengthen our commitment to providing innovative solutions and underscore Sun Life's Purpose to help Clients achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives.
