New: Menopause education guide for employees
It’s not always easy for women to understand the menopause transition and its associated symptoms. Three out of four women will experience menopausal symptoms that interfere with their daily lives.1 To help educate plan members about the menopause transition, we’ve created a new guide — Closing the menopause knowledge gap.
The guide includes resources and helpful information and answers these three questions:
- What is menopause?
- What are the symptoms of menopause?
- How does menopause impact women’s lives?
Did you know?
- 10% of women will stop working due to unmanaged symptoms of menopause.2
- 48% of women won’t ask for support that could make a difference.3
- 87% of working women agree that they need support throughout all stages of life, including menopause.4
Help us spread the message:
We still need to break the taboo around menopause and raise much more awareness about it. As an employer, it’s imperative to support women at this critical stage of their lives. By supporting and understanding women’s experiences through menopause, employers have more chances to retain top talent in the workplace.
What you can do as an employer
- Offer education about menopause.
- Ensure you have a robust benefits plan.
- Create policies that are inclusive of the needs of menopausal women.
We’re encouraging you to share this guide with your employees to support World Menopause Day on October 18. Share today and help close the menopause knowledge gap.
