Introducing dedicated menopause support through Lumino Health Virtual Care, by Dialogue
The 115th International Women’s Day, #IWD2026, is March 8. Sun Life’s global theme, #EmpowerHer, captures our commitment to improve supports for women’s health. One of our key actions is centred on support for a life stage that all women experience – menopause.
The Menopause Foundation of Canada estimates that unmanaged symptoms of menopause cost the Canadian economy $3.5 billion per year1. We’re taking steps to reduce these costs by helping women manage their symptoms and live healthier lives.
We’re excited to announce that dedicated menopause support in now available through Lumino Health Virtual Care, by Dialogue,2 at no additional cost to plan sponsors. Plan members can now access menopause support through all phases of the menopause transition – perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. The support is provided by Dialogue’s Nurse Practitioners, Medical Doctors,3 Registered Nurses, and Mental Health specialists4 who have received additional training on how to guide those going through their menopause journey.
What does the plan member experience look like?
- Within one week of requesting support, plan members will have a virtual consultation with a Nurse Practitioner or Medical Doctor.3 Plan members will then get a comprehensive care plan, including symptom management, tailored to their needs.
- As part of the care plan, the health-care practitioner can prescribe Menopause Hormone Therapy (MHT) or non-hormonal treatment, if this is the right approach for the plan member.
- Plan members also get:
- proactive follow-ups to monitor progress if needed,
- coaching and navigation, and
- educational resources developed by a multidisciplinary team of clinical experts.
