We’re happy to introduce Sun Life Medical Second Opinion, by Dialogue1. This new addition to our Lumino Health Virtual Care offering provided by Dialogue empowers plan members to feel more confident, reassured and informed about their health and treatment options when facing medical issues, by helping confirm or challenge a diagnosis.
Prioritize employee well-being with personalized care for physical and mental health
Receiving a medical diagnosis can be overwhelming. Medical Second Opinion, by Dialogue delivers digital-first, personalized care using an integrated approach by app or web. It includes three different features to help your plan members meet their care needs:
Expert Second Opinion: provides access to a network of medical experts for a medical second opinion on an active diagnosis and treatment plan. This includes both physical and mental health conditions. To ensure high quality support to plan members who access the service, Dialogue may consult with medical experts located in the U.S. In such instances, health information will be reviewed and stored in the U.S. Plan members will be informed before cases go to the U.S. They have an opportunity to consent or decline.
Mental Health Care Navigation: a mental health specialist will help plan members understand their mental health needs. The specialist will provide tailored navigation support to specialized mental health providers, resources and more.
Find a Medical Specialist: a navigation service that will help plan members locate medical specialists and facilities across Canada and the U.S.
Medical Second Opinion, by Dialogue is accessible through the Lumino Health Virtual Care app, via mobile or web 24/7. It is also available through a dedicated toll-free phone line. Plan members can seamlessly access all their virtual care services in one place using a single sign-in, offering care team continuity. All three features are independent and can be accessed freely if plan members are eligible for the service.
Two ways for you to add Medical Second Opinion, by Dialogue to your benefits plan
You have different options to make this service accessible to your plan members:
- It could be included in Extended Health Care benefit, or
- It could be included in Basic or Voluntary Critical Illness coverage.
