The Sun Life skill is Canadian, and you must have an Amazon.ca account to use it.
If you have an Amazon.com account, you can call Amazon help at 1-888-280-4331 to change your account preferences. Otherwise create a new Amazon.ca account.
To access your secure account information through voice, you'll need to link your Sun Life account with Alexa.
There are two ways to do this:
The Sun Life skill is available in both English and French.
No, you don't need an Alexa device. You can use your mobile device to simply enable the Sun Life skill from the Alexa app.
Once enabled, you can start the conversation from the Alexa app by tapping the Alexa icon and saying, "Alexa, open Sun Life."

Make sure your account is linked to Alexa and set your 4-digit voice security PIN to get your account details. If you’re already linked, some information may not be available based on how your plan is set up.
Please refer to your Employee benefits booklet for full details of eligible expenses under your plan.
Some plans or plan sponsors (employers) may not allow members to get their Sun Life account details on voice.

There may be a few reasons why you’re unable to check a dependent’s coverage.
If you can see your dependents on mysunlife.ca and on the my Sun Life mobile app, try saying the name again when checking your coverage. Sometimes, Alexa's voice recognition doesn't work for certain names. Alexa is always improving its ability to understand a range of human voices and words.
Depending on your plan, you may have to submit a claim for each dependent before they appear on your account.
There may be a few reasons why you’re unable to submit a claim for a provider.
Keep in mind that you can use this feature only to submit claims for certain health-care services.
Currently, you can submit a claim only for the providers you have previously submitted claims for, or for providers on your favourites list.
