IT Co-op Program
Information Technology co-op students work within our Enterprise Services division in roles such as Business Systems Analyst, Web Application Developer, Project Management Specialist, Business Data Engineering (Big Data), Mobile Developer and Project Co-ordinator. Enterprise Services offers more than 150 co-op opportunities to students across Canada. This program allows us to build and develop talent who will later join Sun Life in different entry-level roles or our Rotational Leadership Development Program upon graduation.
Actuarial Co-Op and Internship Program
Our Actuarial Co-op and Internship Program aims to attract the brightest, most talented and diverse students from universities across Canada. We place roughly 70 students each year in a variety of challenging roles across a broad range of business units, giving students the opportunity to be involved in real work and challenging business decisions. Our actuarial program provides co-op students and interns with development opportunities, mentorship and coaching, exam support and the opportunity to be advocates of their own career paths. In 2017, 70% of our co-op students received full-time offers into our Rotational Leadership Development Program.
MBA – Private Fixed Income Co-op Program
Every year, the Private Fixed Income (PFI) Group hires five interns who are enrolled in an MBA program to support and contribute to management of the PFI portfolio. Our interns have a unique opportunity to monitor existing private debt investments, contribute to due diligence for new investments, and participate in investor meetings.
We are launching two new co-op programs!
In order to continue to build a talent pipeline in strategic areas of our business, we are launching two new co-op programs. Our first program (2018) targets students in health science disciplines to join our Group Life and Disability business. The second program (2019) targets students studying data analytics to work on dynamic data science projects in our Individual Insurance and Wealth line of business. We will provide more information about these programs at our campus info sessions and when we post the roles through your co-op career centre.
How do I apply?
Please note that the co-op roles are available to students in an official co-op program. All roles will be posted through your co-op career centre each semester.
