What to know during a postal disruption

As of September 26, 2025, Canadians will experience a postal disruption due to the ongoing Canada Post labour dispute.

You can access your Sun Life information online on my Sun Life or through the my Sun Life mobile app.

  • Send documents by taking a photo
  • See your balances and transactions
  • Check your account details
  • Access your documents
  • See investment details on the go

How can I submit my claim?

Reduce delays and submit a claim on-the-go for faster repayments.

  • Using the mobile app, snap a photo and submit claim receipts for a wide range of expenses using “Photo Submission.”

Depending on your plan or policy, you can also:

  • Submit and track your medical, dental and vision claims on the go.
  • Get full coverage details for health, drug and vision care, and look up medication while you’re in the store.
  • View the remaining balances for your health spending and personal spending accounts.
  • Always have your coverage card information handy at the doctor, dentist, or therapist’s office by using your smartphone as your drug and travel cards.
  • Be alerted to timely, personalized updates through “My notifications.”
  • Use the Apple Touch ID service to securely access your account easier and faster (available for Apple devices operation on iOS 8 or higher, including iPhone 5s or later).

How can I check on my investments?

Sign in to my Sun Life or download the mobile app to see how your investments are doing and take advantage of all the tools we have available for you.

How do I get my statements and/or tax slips?

You can access your statements through my Sun Life (under Investments, select Statements).

Find RRSP receipts & tax slips

You can also opt to go Paperless by signing in to my Sun Life. Using the drop-down options in the Profile icon (top right corner) you can click Paperless and update your selection to paperless.

You’ll be notified via email when your statement and/or tax slips are available.

To ensure the safety and protection of your personal information, the my Sun Life Mobile App should only be downloaded through the App Store and Google Play, our only authorized providers. Data charges may apply when using the app.

A few employers continue to review the app for their plans and have chosen not to make the app available to their employees at this time. If this is the case for your plan, you will not be able to access your information on the app. You can use the “Help me save” financial planning tools to learn new ways to save today for a wealthier tomorrow.
