You can use your credit card to pay for your coverage monthly or annually. We accept Visa and MasterCard. You may also have monthly premiums withdrawn from your bank account.
If your coverage is approved, your first payment will be withdrawn from your bank account or charged to your credit card on the day your coverage begins.
If you choose monthly payments by credit card, your credit card will be billed on the same date each month.
If you choose annual payments by credit card, it will be billed on the same date each year.
If you choose a monthly withdrawal from your bank account, your future premiums will be withdrawn on the day of the month you choose.
Taxes have already been included in the price quoted.
You can choose whether to pay your premiums either annually by cheque or monthly by pre-authorized chequing. If applying online, payment options for both annual and monthly include Visa or Mastercard.
The premium is determined according to the age of each insured person and the province where they live. If a change in age puts the insured person into another rate category, premiums are adjusted at the next policy anniversary. If an insured person moves to another province, we will adjust premiums according to the rates of the new province of residence, effective on the date of the change.
We have the right to change your premium; we will give you 45 days’ written notice before we make such a change.
Rates are adjusted based on the experience of all the people with the same product and plan and in the same age band. Your individual claims won’t make your rates go up.
