Find a Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) provider

Members can visit any oral health provider as long as the provider can accept CDCP clients, agrees to bill and can receive payment directly from Sun Life for CDCP services. Provider participation remains voluntary.

Members can use the Provider Search Tool to find a participating oral health provider in their community. Members can search by name, speciality and location. Not all providers participating in the CDCP are listed in the search tool.

Other ways to find a participating provider:

  • Contact any oral health provider in your community and ask if they can accept CDCP clients, agree to bill and can receive payment directly from Sun Life for CDCP services. Oral health providers include dentists, dental hygienists, denturists, dental specialists, dental school clinics, etc.
  • Call Sun Life’s CDCP Contact Centre at 1-888-888-8110 for help finding a provider.

Important booking reminders

When booking an appointment with an oral health provider or discussing care options, always:

  • Confirm that the oral health provider accepts CDCP members, agrees to bill Sun Life directly, and can receive direct payment from Sun Life for CDCP-covered services.
  • Ensure your coverage is active and that you know your co-payment percentage (percentage of CDCP covered fees).
  • Ask the provider if there are any costs not covered by the CDCP that you’ll have to pay in addition to your co-payment.

Note: You shouldn’t pay the full cost for services covered by the CDCP. Your oral health provider will send the claim to Sun Life for you. Sun Life cannot pay you back for services that should have been billed through the plan. You only need to pay any required co-payment and any costs for services that aren’t covered.
