At Sun Life Financial, we believe that annuities will play a greater role going forward in helping defined benefit (DB) pension plan sponsors manage longevity and investment risk. However, annuities rarely get discussed at pension committee meetings or receive any air time at industry conferences. As a result, a number of myths have developed over the years that we hope to dispel in this edition of DB Solutions InSights.
