July 2007 Focus Update #120

In this issue:

Enhancing the online plan member experience

We’re adding exciting new features to our Plan Member Services website Home page during the week of July 16:

  • More intuitive and useful links
Plan Members will be presented with additional frequently used links that take them directly to features within themy health and well-being (group benefits) and my financial future (group retirement services and personal investments and insurance) areas of the website.  Most links will be accessed via an intuitive “Take me to” drop-down list, making navigation faster and easier.

  • A more personal experience
Plan members who have more than one section on their Home page – my health and well-being, my financial future, my additional services – will be able to customize the order in which these sections appear, based on their preferences.  For example, they can display the section they access most frequently at the top of the Home page.

  • More access to important information
Ads will rotate every six seconds. This will apply to plan members who are eligible to see more than one ad.  (Currently, only one ad can be displayed.)  Since ads are used to highlight important information, members will now be made aware of as many of these messages as possible during their visit.

We’ve also made these other recent enhancements to the Plan Member website:

  • Editable online claim forms
Claim forms can now be completed online before they are printed.  Editable fields are highlighted so plan members can see what information needs to be provided.  Personal information is pre-filled, as on the previous forms.

  • Links to Drug-Related Information* from claim statements and claims history
Plan members have another fast and easy way to reliable health information about a drug.  By selecting the drug name presented on Claim Statement and View History pages, they are taken directly to information about that specific drug and the conditions it treats.  (The Drug-Related Information feature is also available through our Drug Look-up tool.)

Communicating with plan members
We’ve attached a communication that you may choose to share with your plan members. Please feel free to delete or revise any information to reflect your plan’s design.

Questions?
If you have any questions about these great new features, please contact your Sun Life Financial group representative.

*The Drug-Related Information feature pulls together a custom display page based on information from the Health & Wellness Companion. If you do not have the Health & Wellness Companion enabled, links to Drug-Related Information will not be available
