On Tuesday, October 16, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers filed a 72-hour notice of job action. As of midnight the morning of Monday, October 22, Canadian postal operations may experience some service disruptions. In order to minimize the impact of this on your Sun Life business, we encourage your employees to take advantage of our web and mobile app services. Information about this possible postal disruption is available on sunlife.ca. You may share this page with your employees or use the communication attached here.

Member account statements will be held for the duration of the lockout. Members can access their statements online through mysunlife.ca (under Investments, select Statements).

Plan members may update their Paperless preference by signing in at mysunlife.ca. Using the drop down options in the Profile icon (top right corner) they may click Paperless and update their selection to Paperless.

Outgoing mail will be held in a safe and secure environment until this disruption is over. Other than cheques to other financial institutions, which will be sent by ICS Courier, we will not use courier services to send documents or cheques. We will arrange to ship foreign correspondence to one of our U.S. offices for distribution.
