At that time, we promised to review the growing body of clinical research from time to time, as the use of cannabis for medical purposes evolves. As a result, we will now cover medical cannabis for two additional conditions:
- Refractory spasticity in spinal cord injury, and
- Refractory pediatric onset epilepsy
Starting today, these two conditions will be part of our standard medical cannabis offering. So, we will automatically include them in group plans that offer this coverage.
To maintain the effectiveness of our product offering, we’ll continue to monitor clinical research related to medical cannabis.
