There is a change to continuing coverage during temporary lay-offs. You may maintain coverage during a temporary layoff for six months, instead of three months. This applies to all benefits, except disability. If you decide to extend benefits for six months, you’ll need to tell us to end disability benefits at the three month mark.

We hope this change gives plan members continued access to their group benefits coverage.
