Registering for the secure Advisor site just got even easier

We’ve simplified the process for new registrants requesting access to the secure Advisor site. The changes help speed up the registration process by making it as real-time as possible.

New registrants started to experience the following changes on August 28:

  • Self-validation email – to start the process, new registrants must enter a unique email unique email address/ID. Then, they receive a separate email to verify the email address entered in the registration form instead of having to call to verify it.
  • Set up personal access ID and password – the ability to pick their own access ID and password. This makes it easier to remember credentials and reduces the number of emails users receive from Sun Life.
  • Updated user roles in the form – the ability to choose from updated roles and titles that resonate best.

We created two job aids to help users get the most out of the registration experience:

  1. How to register for Sun Life’s Advisor site – get step-by-step instructions that walk users through the process so they know what to expect. 
  2. How to customize communication preferences – users can update their communication preferences within their Personal Profile. They can assign which emails should receive/have access to their new business and in-force communications. 

It can take up to two business days to activate a new account. Users will receive an email from Advisor Site Support when their account is ready for use. While waiting, new registrants can check out this new page and learn how we fulfill our promise – We help. You grow.

These updates are just the start of more to come. We’ll continue to enhance the registration process and Advisor site to meet your needs.
