Supporting Client accessibility: updated PHI and HCC sales process
We’re working to remove barriers and align our websites to government guidelines for accessibility. As a result, we’re removing the online applications for Personal Health Insurance and Health Coverage Choice from sunlife.ca on December 30, 2020.
You can continue to use the web application on the advisor website to help Clients get coverage.
To support Clients ’ needs, please let them know that the online application is not accessible and:
- If the Client is comfortable completing their own application, and resides outside of Quebec, share the application link with the Client. The Client can fill out the application themselves.
- If the Client resides outside of Quebec and is comfortable completing their own application, share the link with them. They can fill out the application themselves.
- For Clients in Quebec, or who can’t use the online application, meet with them to apply. You can do this using video conferencing or by phone. The Client must fill in and sign the application themselves. If you’re using video conferencing, you can guide them through the process using screen sharing.
- You can also pre-fill your information and send the Client a paper application.
