Healthy recipe: Strawberry oatmeal breakfast smoothie

Rushed in the morning? You don’t have to give up having a healthy breakfast when it’s this fast to make.

Between the deep pink colour and the rich, creamy texture of this non-dairy delight, you’ll find yourself looking forward to breakfast time. Be sure to use plain, unsweetened, vitamin-fortified soy milk.


  • 1 cup soy milk
  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 banana, broken into chunks
  • 14 frozen strawberries
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ tsp white sugar


  1. In a blender, combine soy milk, oats, banana and strawberries. Add vanilla and sugar if desired.
  2. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve.
