What is the Account Executive Development Program?

The Sun Life Financial Group Benefits Account Executive Development Program provides a unique opportunity to gain the experience required to be a successful Account Executive. At the end of this hands-on training program, you will understand the Group Benefits business, operational structure, product and service offerings, advisors' responsibilities, customers and business strategy. The goal of completing this program is to accelerate you to the position of an Account Executive. Upon completion of the program, you will be assigned to an office within your region in Canada, which may require relocation to a city within that region. The duration of the program depends on your performance and availability of positions within your region. The typical program lasts between 12 and 30 months.

We have opportunities in the Western, Ontario and Quebec regions.


How do I apply?

If you are in a commerce or business program that will be completed by the spring of the following year, you are eligible to apply for this program. All candidates must apply online.

Sun Life recruits for this program during August and September, when available positions will be posted, and interviews taking place throughout the month of September.
