We’re very excited to announce the upcoming launch of my Sun Life Mobile on September 7. This free app, which is among the first of its kind in the Canadian insurance industry, will make it easier for plan members in Canada to connect with us – anytime, anywhere. 

With the app, plan members can:

  • Submit medical and dental claims for automatic processing – an industry first – and receive  payment into their bank accounts within 48 hours
  • View information about recently submitted or processed claims
  • Access their drug and travel cards
  • Access interactive financial planning tools to learn more about saving for a brighter financial future
  • Check their retirement and savings plan balances and recent contributions (if applicable, depending on their plan)

What’s happening next?

 As we prepare for the launch on September 7 you’ll see and hear more about the app, with ads appearing in trade journals and The Globe and Mail.

Spreading the word

When we launch the app, we’ll send you more information to distribute to your plan members, including material that you can use to promote the app on your intranet. In the meantime, you can include in your member communications, so they can see just how easy it will be to connect with their benefits plan. Beginning September 7, this site will also include links to download the app for BlackBerry and iPhone.

Downloading apps on company-issued BlackBerry devices

If your organization currently does not allow employees to download apps onto company-issued smartphones, here are some options for you to share with your IT department.
