Plan members can submit almost all types of dental, vision, paramedical and now drug claims on our password protected website, for immediate handling. What’s more, claim payments are deposited into their bank accounts within 24 to 48 hours processing.
  • Easy-to-use screens guide plan members through the claim process.
  • Plan members receive immediate online confirmation of their claim and the amount and details of their claim payment.
  • Up to18 months of detailed claim statements are available online, as well as  members’ complete medical and dental claims history with Sun Life.
  • Members can print statements for coordination of benefits.
  • They can update their banking information.

Almost paperless

E-claims remove the need for most paper claim forms and statements. This is good for the environment and brings us one step closer to completely paperless medical and dental claims.

Audits and controls protect your plan from fraudulent claims 

E-claims come with built-in protection to prevent errors and improper claims. They are subject to rigorous audits. We have also implemented strong fraud management controls throughout the online claiming process.

During the claim adjudication process all online claims are subject to:

  • random audits, where plan members are asked to send us their receipts for a claim
  • maximum amounts that can be paid for each online submission
  • mandatory audits for claims over certain amounts

For dental and paramedical claims, we validate whether the provider is in our national provider database. This allows us to monitor provider behaviour alongside member claiming patterns.
