TD Greystone Asset Management – Fund name changes

Plan sponsors may wish to consider whether this investment news has any implications for the investment options available within their plans. Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada purchases units of the funds listed below, which are established as segregated funds in accordance with the Insurance Companies Act (Canada).

Effective November 1, 2019, TD Greystone Asset Management ("TD Greystone") is making changes to the names of several of its funds, which are available on the Core investment platform. The Sun Life segregated funds below are also changing to reflect these new fund names.

Rationale for the changes

The Toronto-Dominion Bank ("TD") acquired Greystone Capital Management ("Greystone") in a transaction announced in July 2018. Greystone has been operating as part of TD Asset Management ("TDAM") under the name TD Greystone since the transaction closed in November 2018. The fund names are changing to align with the TD Greystone name.

There will be no changes to any of the funds' strategies, investment objectives or investment teams.

How does this impact plan sponsors and plan members?

There is no impact to, or action required of plan sponsors or plan members. Plan members invested in these funds will see the new fund names reflected on their accounts beginning October 31, 2019. We'll also communicate this change to plan members through Morningstar.
