Effective October 1, 2019, we’re adding the WindWise Canadian Managed Volatility Segregated Fund (“the Fund”) to our Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Core investment platform. State Street Global Advisors (“SSGA”) is the manager of the Fund and a new investment partner on our platform.
The Fund seeks to provide competitive returns over the long term while maintaining a lower level of risk relative to the broader market, as measured by the S&P/TSX Composite Index. SSGA utilizes a proprietary quantitative investment process to select equity securities with lower volatility compared to the index. SSGA also limits the exposure to each security, sector and industry to achieve the appropriate level of diversification.
The addition of this fund represents our commitment to offering plan sponsors and their members a broad range of investment options, complemented by an industry-leading governance program.
