Organizational Changes at Invesco

Plan sponsors may wish to consider whether this investment news has any implications for the investment options available within their plans. Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada purchases units of the fund listed below, which is established as a segregated fund in accordance with the Insurance Companies Act (Canada).

In July 2018, Invesco Fixed Income (IFI) announced changes to the portfolio management team for the fixed income portion of Invesco Income Growth:

  • Avi Hooper, Senior Portfolio Manager, is now the lead Portfolio Manager. Hooper had worked in Canada on fixed income mandates for many years prior to joining Invesco in 2010. At Invesco, his time was split between emerging market debt and Canadian fixed income strategies. Mr. Hooper will be relinquishing his emerging markets responsibilities and focusing full-time on Canadian fixed income going forward.
  • Matt Brill and Todd Schomberg, who had assumed co-lead responsibilities for the fixed income portion of Invesco Income Growth after the unexpected departure of Canadian fixed income professional Alexander Schwiersch, will continue to support the strategy out of the IFI main office in Atlanta.
  • Jennifer Hartviksen, previously a Portfolio Manager on the strategy, will transition off the team, after a period of 12-18 months, to focus on her global responsibilities within high yield and multi-sector credit.

The investment strategy, process and objectives will remain unchanged for the Fund.
