New digital wellness features for plan members are coming soon!

Sun Life cares about the wellness of our plan members – both financially and health wise. We also care about leading the industry by being the provider of choice. Our focus on continuous innovation positions us as a market leader, and positions you to serve your clients with the backing of an unrivalled suite of products and services.

This June, Sun Life will provide more tools to improve the overall wellness of plan members. Our Provider Search tool, available online and through the my Sun Life Mobile app, has been improved. When using this tool to find local healthcare providers, plan members can now factor in cost. To break the ice, we are adding this feature for searches associated with vision providers, paramedical providers like massage therapists, chiropractors and physiotherapists, and medical equipment like compression stockings. New categories will be added in the future.

Finally, we're excited to be the first company in Canada to offer plan members the ability to scan the 8-digit DIN (drug identification number) found on medication packaging with their smartphones. Plan members will receive instant information on usage recommendations, possible side effects and potentially lower-cost alternatives via our Drug lookup tool.
