The Gord Laurie Foundation

The Gord Laurie Foundation was established in 2011 in memory of Gordie Laurie. To follow in Gordie’s footsteps, the foundation is dedicated to bettering the Lethbridge Community through charitable giving.

An Evening with Mr. Gerry Coleman

On the evening of May 23, 2009 our firm had the great honour of having Mr. Gerry Coleman of CI Investments, Harbour Fund group of mutual funds, speak to our clients. It was a highlight for our firm to have Mr. Coleman take time out of his very busy schedule to participate in a 'fire side' chat on the funds in which he and his team manage, as well as provide a commentary on the general economic outlook for Canada from his perspective. A great time was had by all!

Friends and Neighbours Charity Golf Tourney

The Laurie, Kenna & Associates Charity Golf Tournament is the pinnacle event for our firm, giving us a chance to connect with our clients and to contribute to the community through charitable donations.

Each year, the scramble format tournament, and following barbeque is attended by approximately 200 clients. The winning team chooses one of four charities in which all proceeds of the tournament are forwarded. 2011 marked the ninth year of this successful event, bringing our firm and our clients together for a good cause, many laughs and great camaraderie.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Opens link in a new window is the leading charitable funder and advocate of Type 1 diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Laurie, Kenna & Associates, strongly support the foundation though volunteer work.
