What services are included in our EAP?

Stress, anxiety, depression, substance use, grief and loss can be a detriment to health. Our experts can help your employees manage their mental health better with virtual coaching, therapy sessions and coping mechanisms2.

Family and relationship specialists provide support for challenges such as relationship conflicts, handling the loss of a family member or navigating the health-care system to get support for a parent in declining health.

This service provides virtual access to a registered dietitian for personalized nutrition guidance. Through live coaching, plan members receive expert advice to enhance their understanding of general nutrition and develop healthy eating habits. This service promotes overall health, disease prevention, and positive relationships with food.

We provide access to a financial planner to help your employees with budgeting and financial planning for the future. Financial health is an important part of holistic well-being.

We help educate your employees about a broad range of legal issues. Our legal experts can conduct research and make referrals to the appropriate bar association to help plan members navigate their next steps.

Career counsellors provide coaching and support for areas such as career planning, managing harassment in the workplace and manager consultations.

Your people leaders often face challenging workplace issues. That’s why our Sun Life EAP provides manager coaching – a short-term coaching program to help them address a range of workplace issues related to team members who report to them.

From return-to-work transitions to helping employees manage health remotely, our coaching service provides your people leaders with the tools they need to develop an effective game plan. This gives your people leaders access to coaches to help them solve challenges in real time.

Plan members and their eligible dependents (age 14+), can easily connect to the EAP through the Lumino Health Virtual Care mobile app or website 24/7. When accessing EAP via the app is not possible, immediate help is available by calling 1-844-342-3327. Appointments are available within 24 hours, at a time that works best for the plan member.
