Community involvement

I was instrumentally involved in combating the Okanagan mountain forest fires of 2003 which nearly devastated the Kelowna valley. I assembled a crew of 12 local friends and provided immediate assistance with the guidance of Rick Pasutto and his team. Our crew, with his direction, was able to help divert the fire from sweeping into the city.

I am a member of our local chapter of the Estate Planning Council of Kelowna. I proudly support Ducks Unlimited Canada , and, as an active member, I also continue to support and sponsor elementary school children with their pursuit of education towards conserving Canada's natural wetland habitat. As well, I am a dedicated contributor to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society .
