The Making life brighter for you contest launched on May 1st and has received over 600 entries to date! Plan members have been providing great feedback on how Sun Life Financial has impacted their lives as well as suggestions on what we can do to make their experience better.

 

So what exactly are members saying?

Here are a couple of the entries that we have received:

  • Saving Time makes for a brighter life
    I am a recent first time mom and using the website to process all my benefit claims has been a lifesaver! The feature I’ve really come to like is the 'email a question' section, where it is so easy to ask questions of Sun Life representatives and the helpful response comes electronically within the next day. I was having trouble breastfeeding and wanted to get a breast pump, but knew how expensive they could be. With a screaming infant at hand, I was able to comfortably sit at my computer and get the benefit information I needed. Knowing that part of the pump was covered made me automatically feel like I had a brighter future with feeding this screaming baby.”

  • Reduce barriers to claim submissions
    I have been a member of the Sun Life Group Benefits plan for several years and really appreciate the extended coverage that this plan provides. However, my husband has a different plan than me, so I have to submit to his plan first (his birthday is before mine) for any reimbursements for my children and then submit to my plan. This is time consuming and cumbersome. Surely, in the world of technology we live in, Sun Life should be able to access another plan online to determine eligibility of coverage. I hope that this is the next step to more efficient services.”

The thoughtfulness and emotion behind many of these entries is impressive. The feedback clearly demonstrates that plan members recognize and appreciate the value of their benefits and retirement plans, as well as the various services available to them. We have also received some great insight into how we can improve and expand the plan member experience. We’re listening!
