Sun Life is introducing a new mobile service in the coming months (announced in Focus Update #277) − a free, innovative smartphone application. Mobile applications (“apps”) are becoming a key plan member engagement channel, so we’re really excited to once again redefine the plan member experience.

Our upcoming advertisement about the app in the May edition of Benefits Canada includes a link to a dynamic video on a landing page at www.sunlife.ca/mobile_en. Take a look! You’ll also see a press release coming soon.

Initially, the Sun Life Mobile app will provide tools for Group Benefits and Group Retirement Services plan members. 

  • The Group Benefits part of the app will focus mainly on claims-related activities. We are the first in Canada to offer instant claims adjudication this way!
  • The Group Retirement Services part will let members access their account information and financial planning tools.
