Workplace Peer Support

Through our referral agreement with Mental Health Innovations Consulting (MHI) Sun Life gives you access to Workplace Peer Support - a leading mental health workplace practice.

What is peer support?

A workplace peer support program is based on people connecting who have a shared experience with mental health issues as a means to complement more traditional mental health care programs. Face-to-face interaction with a co-worker who has lived with similar problems can be very effective in helping overcome the stigmas related to mental illness – and in helping promote mental health in the workplace.

Sun Life RightDirections Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

This EAP can offer the support people may need to resolve personal challenges before they become overwhelming and begin to limit the ability to focus at work. It offers support for a range of issues including stress and relationship problems. The services it provides can allow employees to focus on work by taking away a stressor or helping them navigate a difficult situation. RightDirections also offers crisis counseling.
