Sun Life MFS U.S. Growth Fund Portfolio Management Change - June 9, 2014

Plan sponsors may wish to consider whether this investment update has any implications for the investment options available within their plan.

In March 2014, Sun Life Global Investments (Canada) Inc. (SLGI) announced a portfolio management change regarding the management of the Sun Life MFS U.S. Growth Fund (the Fund). The Fund is sub-advised by MFS Institutional Advisors, Inc. (MFS).

Effective April 30, 2014, Matthew Sabel joined Eric Fischman as co-portfolio manager on the Fund. Mr. Fischman has served as portfolio manager on the strategy since 2002. The decision to expand the portfolio management team is consistent with MFS' team-based approach to investment management. Mr. Sabel will retain his responsibilities as the U.S. sector leader for technology, and portfolio manager on the MFS Technology strategy going forward.

MFS has confirmed that the investment philosophy, style and process of the strategy will remain unchanged with this appointment.

Mr. Sabel is an Investment Officer and Equity Research Analyst at MFS. His current research responsibilities include coverage of hardware and semiconductor stocks as a member of MFS' global technology sector team, working closely with the firm's team of global research analysts and portfolio managers. Prior to joining MFS in 2009, Mr. Sabel had a nine year career at Fidelity Management & Research Co., where he held a number of senior investment research and portfolio management positions. While at Fidelity, he served as a research analyst covering technology, retail, and healthcare and later served as a sector leader and portfolio manager covering healthcare. Mr. Sabel also served as an associate consultant at Putnam Associates for two years. Mr. Sabel earned a bachelor's degree, with honors, from Tufts University and began his career in financial services as a mutual fund accountant at Investors Bank & Trust in 1997.
