Statement alert email messages to start this fallJuly 14, 2014
Starting with the September 30, 2014 statements, Sun Life Financial will email plan members to notify them that their account statement is available for review on mysunlife.ca. The new email alert will reinforce how quick and easy it is to access statements online, increasing awareness of this "go green" option.
The email alert will be delivered using our Customer Relationship Management system, via the plan member email addresses that we have on record at mysunlife.ca. Email alerts will be sent after statements are available online and according to the statement frequency of the plan.
Optional messages to increase plan member awareness
Plan members who are interested in receiving information about voluntary products and services provided through Sun Life Financial will have an additional section on their email alert for a short optional message.
In order for a plan member to see the optional message, they must have set their communications permissions for "Information and offers" and/or "Information about other products" to "yes" on their mysunlife.ca profile. If they have not set the preference to "yes", they will receive the default alert email without the optional message.

The statement alert email initiative reflects our commitment to continually improving services to plan members while aligning with our Keen on Green campaign to minimize hard-copy printing of plan member statements and reduce Sun Life Financial’s carbon foot print.
